I was requested to write an appropriate farewell instead of my ragequit.

So here it is.

Generally speaking, I love animanga. I love the anime, I love the manga, I love the community, I love the individuals. In general, people have either been very welcoming or have trolled the living shit out of me, both of which are acceptable because the first makes me feel warm and fuzzy and the second makes me laugh.

Chibisuke-scans will always hold a special spot in my memory as well. It's the first time I was really truly appreciated for my work and it's the first time I really excelled at something. Plus, I learned a great deal QCing here (the worse the scanlations, the more I had to QC :P).

But I have to flame a bit, so do excuse me. I know it's really easy to piss me off, but seriously? Fans who feel obligated to ask for faster releases are blatantly not seeing the point. We do these scanlations on our free time, for our own benefit and enjoyment. We are not your slaves. We are not your employees. If you paid us, you can whip us and tell us to work harder, but you're not paying us. You have absolutely no right to treat us that way.

The only thing I hate more than an unappreciative fan is an unappreciative scanlator. I'm not naming names here (in fact, I'm specifically thinking of several people not in Chibisuke-scans as I write this), but these people think QC is easy. Feel free to mock me if you're blatantly better than I am or if I respect you deeply, but when you suck more than I do, shut the fuck up. You have absolutely no right to mock me or my work.

I'm done ranting. Anything below this will be specific messages to specific people in Chibisuke. Please read the section that is applicable to you. In no particular order:

mathi36: You've created a great group. Keep up the good work, and don't ever lose your passion and zeal.

justam: Chibisuke-scans needs more people like you :P

Dark-san: It was a good run while it lasted, eh? I still disagree about weekly releases, but of course, I love quality more than anything.

Chas: I LOVE YOU, MY GODDESS <3. Please let me steal you from Dark-san~

SEi: I still can't get over the fact that you're 13. Keep up your youthful charm and innocence~

Faharis: I talked to you probably twice, but you're seriously awesome. The world needs more hawt North European librarians.

Tinymushrooms: MOAR ASIAN WIMINZ MOAR

All Chibisuke QCers: Any QC that is less than a page long is not a real QC. Find things to bitch about. And seriously, bitch more. That's your job.

Everybody else: I didn't write you something? That's either because I don't know you enough, don't want to leave you a message, or forgot about you. My suggestions would be thus then: get me to know you better, make me like you more, or don't be so forgettable.
