Re: The football/soccer topic
They had a 2-2 draw earlier this week. Already there is talk about how crappy the England is. England does have talented players, the problem is that they won't work together all that well.
Am I the only Arsenal supporter round here. Come on now, you know we are awesome. I'm not getting my hopes up for a trophy, but i will say this...Soon, soon.

Re: The football/soccer topic
The England team is over rated, our team player for player doesn't even compare to Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Holland, Germany just to name a few. Just because we have the best league in the world doesn't mean we have the best players in the world. Rooney is vastly over rated because of his work ethic, a striker should be judged on goals and he does not get enough. We have no top class midfielders at the moment apart from Gerrard. Our centre backs are the strongest part of the team and probably along with Gerrard who are amongst the best in the world.
Derby, Reading and Birmingham got relegated last year and Hull, Stoke and West Brom got promoted, Hull and Stoke have made a surprising start to their campaign.
Arsenal are unfortunately screwed unless they get some midfielers in this week. The midfield is too lightweight and Denilson isn't ready for consistant Premiership football yet. Its going to be 4th at best unless you get another 2 midfielders in.

Re: The football/soccer topic
the problem with EPL is they got too many non-local players.
(some years ago, arsenal has only 1 english player in their senior team... @_@, that's awful!)
compare it to italian serie-a, spanish la liga and maybe german and france league too. these leagues have more local players than non-local. (cmiiw, i dont know much about german & france league)

Re: The football/soccer topic
i think it is count..
they can choose to play for france or the 'allied??' country.
and most of them play in EPL..
now over 50% of the players in EPL are those guys.... (or maybe 70%?)...

Leeds United have the next Stevie G in Fabian Delph, cracking young player ran the show on Saturday against Crewe.
I want Arsenal to do well but I just can't see it happening, they really need a defensive midfielder.
