Typesetting Test by SEi
I'll be honest and say that I'm a beginner.
But at least I've been randomly editing manga pages for fun... for example:

Anyways, here they are... the tests;
One Piece:- - - -Over Drive:

Oh yeh, I'll have to say... the people who cleaned it did a really good job. It's sharpened and contrasted so much that I couldn't help looking at everything while I TSed

Re: Typesetting Test by SEi
for a beginner, not bad, not bad at all =D
your one piece page was impressive - my only qualm is with the size of the text in the first four bubbles (those bubbles in the 2nd frame). They're too close to the edges of the bubbles, and if you used a smaller text size and then centre the text again, it'd be all sweet.

in the first 2 red circles, same type of error as the ones you made in the OP page. the last one is slightly different though. the font size should be a little bigger, and if possible in your image editing program, you should tilt the text a bit. if that didn't really make sense, check out some of the other applications, and you'll get what i mean.

tried again! :3
so does that mean that for one whole frame, the font size should be the same always? or does that depend on the speech type and whatnot?
and also, i quite understand what you're talking about since i read A LOT of manga in which that's mostly why i'm interested in this job
and so,
i tried again! here you go:

hope it's better!
if not, ill keep trying harder ^^

Oh I'm new here too Sei! We're noob-buddies, if you don't mind me lumping you with me under the unsavoury category.
So far the veterans in the TL team have been very generous with advice and helpful material, so I've no doubt your queries will be well-received. (They were so generous, I had to plead for time to digest everything...) It's hard work, but I'm still enjoying it thus far, even if it does leave me for the vultures in the following couple of days after a draft submission. While we won't work directly with each other, I hope we'll enjoy working in the same team together.
Good luck!
