About Chibisuke Scans

ive had these questions for a looong time.
im not sure if there is a forum or something that includes the answers to these questions, but here they are anyway:

Why is it called Chibisuke Scans?
- Any specificness? Story?

Why do "we" only do sports mangas?

these questions are probably directed to mathi, since he's the one who created it.. right? :3

only mathi and the founder staffs can answer this... haha...
but i believe the name chibisuke comes from OverDrive, since i saw some "that chibi!" word when TS ing some of the chapter.

also it's said that we formerly known as "Fukazawa-Scans", also from OD, i guess...

then that means "you've" been scanning and whatnot OD from the beginning huh? no wonder it looked "similar" when i was reading it ^^

chibisuke came from shinozaki being called "chibisuke" all the time.

as for only sports manga... i don't think that really sunk in until dark hopped in. *shrugs* it's not a bad thing - specialisation means we target a specific audience, and they'll know we do sports series...

I always thought we were a sports manga group :O

I mean even back when we were doing OD ANK and REAL xD

And then we picked up Hanagata... so yeah. Another sports series xD

Yes, it is part of the rebranding effort. =) Getting the readers out there to acknowledge us is just part of the idea of this.

then will we ever do something out of the range of sports mangas?

a non-sports manga I'd like to do once is Rainbow, then one story of my most favourite mangaka, mitsuru adachi.

hmmm.. i also like sports mangas, like Kuroko no Basuke, Ahiru no Sora (which, if i remember correctly, is being scanlated by rycolaa).

do you ever want to try scanlating mangas relating to medicine and doctors? i dont think i would want to..

Well they are all okay until you get to the point when they start to explain the biological terms. Yes, that would even stumped the greatest of all translators if you don't have that minimum knowledge of the medical field. =\

@Ge4ce = i agree. but they are already being scanlated by other groups. wouldnt it be "interesting" if we scanlate a manga that is not popular.. AND it's new?

@Dark-san = mhm.. that's why i said i don't want to. and being a TS, there's those TN notes in which are humongously large, explaining one single word of the medical field.
