Timezone

... er.. sorry for the many questions.

does the timezone thing matter to anyone or for anything?

because mine says:
Current date/time is Fri Jul 03, 2009 11:37 am

when it's really still Thursday, which makes it Thurs Jul 02, 2009 11:37 pm

any questions, comments, answers, anything...?

=S i thought the time shown on the "who's online" page was meant to draw info from your computer's clock. apparently not.

perhaps one of the admins had set the timezone for the forum to some weird time... *shrugs*

i diid... but there was no other option except for

for example:
today's still July 03, and the menu only has options for July 04.

It works for me if I change my time zone.. XD

AH. that was complicated.
just played around with the list until i got it right O__O;

i always thought it would be GMT 8 since that's what i use for everything else.. oh well ^^;

GMT +8 is only relevant for Kouri, Tanequil, Portculis and me.

er.. it kinda happened again.
i didn't touch it but it changed back Razz

the prev. post was supposed to be at 9:31 am instead of 8.

supposedly, it's supposed to be at GMT - 4 for me but it keeps changing back to GMT - 5. ...

on and off? on or off? well i leave it on because im too lazy to move my mouse to the start menu thingy taskbar thingamajiggy below (i hide it) to see the time.. and my window houses my alarm clock, and the sun shining makes me blind so i cant see it there.. well.. yeh.. whatever. ill just keep it up.

Daylight Saving Time? Are you in the USA? They use it. It dates back from the farming days when people needed more time to tend their crops during daylight or something like that, so they set the clocks back one hour so they would wake up early enough and absorb more sunlight.

Lol then you can just settle for mentally converting the time to the correct time then.. XD
