Re: The football/soccer topic
futbol... maybe spanish. haha.
well in italian it's "calcio"
in german it's "fussball"
in british english it's "football" and occasionally, although it's a more archaic term (and now associated with americans), "soccer"

wtf... total 15 yellow cards.
10 for holland, 5 for spain.
holland would win if that was a card match.

Re: The football/soccer topic
robben...robben...:'(
but well, he knows how to dribble!
The game was rough indeed. The dutch tried to stop every initiation of a spanisch attack in its roots. So most cards were all justified...but I'm still sad that spain won...

Re: The football/soccer topic
There was at least one foul that should have been a red. It just hurt watching it. Every time they showed it... I see it, in slow-mo, an orange shirt with a flying leap, toe pointed straight up, cleats pointing outward, connecting with a Spaniard's chest, right in the sternum. Bam! The Spaniard was flat on his back & very, very slow in getting up. They had medics on the field. That was downright dangerous. At the very least, that's going to leave marks. One of the commentators said the same guy (Orange) broke an American's leg in a friendly. That soured me a bit toward the Netherlands. (Sorry, Mathi!)
It was a dirty game. But the Orange didn't let Spain control the game like they controlled the Germans. Thus, the physicality of the game. It worked, but it was rough. Robben was amazing... so was the Spanish goalkeeper & Spain's #6 & 8.
I gotta squeeze some time this week to watch the replay of Germany & Uraguay.
Hey Kouri-chan! Did you know that Forlan won the MVP for the World Cup?

Re: The football/soccer topic
Unlike the Premier League where anyone below the European places are often crushed 6-0 by Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, there are no easy games in Italy.
