Opening: Boom Boom Satellites - Shut Up And Explode

Sentan Island exists in a state of dreamlike tranquility; a small island, surrounded by the Yuden Sea, cut off from the war between the Northern Government and the Southern Continent Free Zone. Akiyuki Takehara lives on Sentan Island along with his mother Fusa. Despite his mother's strained relationship with his father, Ryuzo, the town doctor, the bond between father and son remains strong. One day the island's tranquility is shattered, when Akiyuki, along with his best friends Haru and Furuichi, are caught up in an explosion on a school bus. The explosion produces a mysterious light which enters Akiyuki's arm. With no time to understand what has happened, Akiyuki is transformed into a creature called Xam'd. Akiyuki rampages through the city, only to be stopped by a mysterious girl who offers him a choice: come with her and live, or stay and turn to stone. Accepting her offer, Akiyuki embarks on a journey of discovery that will take him to new lands, and help him to understand the connection between himself and the lifeform known as Xam'd.

This series is a near 10/10 for me. It's a real refreshing and surprising, and airing, anime with a great adventurous plot.

One Outs is definitely better than the 5th season of Major. At least, they took the effort to explain on the scientific and strategic aspects of baseball. Some of which, you will never expect. Major on the hand looks more suited for the younger audience.

Major 1st season = awesome
Major 2nd season = Major 1st season
Major 3rd season = Major 1st/2nd season

Is one outs really better than major? I took a glance at the manga, and the drawings kind of prevented me from watching it.

One Outs is a mix between Major(Just the baseball) and Death Note (Psychological manipulation).

Perverted? Hell no! >.<; There is nothing perverted in the series. I personally guarantee it. The drawings are meant for the more mature audience, who have outgrown your typical 'underdog wins all with determination' baseball anime. Like manga, they have a difference between drawing types. Not so sure but the drawing seem to be more Josei- like.

I never say it was better than Major. It is just better then its season 5. Or should I say it is just plain unlucky that Season 5 has to be released in the same timing as One Outs. When both animes' of the same genre are together, it is inevitable that they get compared to each other too.

But anyway, the first episode in itself is way more interesting then the manga, so you should definitely try that and see if you like the 'Hiruma'- or 'Niijima'-like character. And to be honest, you should watch the 2nd episode as well, as it then covers up the intro of One Outs.

Hah I see. I read it too fast. It should be prevented and not perverted lol.

But then just give One Outs a try. And no, Hiruma from Eyeshield21 sucks. I absolutely hated that machine gun freak. The main character resembles a little based on their hairstyle but the personality is a hell lot different.
