the ultimate (road) bike training thread
Hey guys,
I finally started to ride again and just decided to open this topic.
here you can tell about your daily/weekly tours, training rides. Show some pictures of the roads you usually ride.
I've started with a simple training course which I'll do every day till my leg gets better.
length: 15km
height difference: 250m (uphill)
I'll upload some pics and a diagramm of the route sooner.

Wow... >_<
Sometimes, I wish that Hong Kong had a lot more space XD
we will never have space for that...15km thing unless you're talking about the new territories or something XD
go mathi!!!

Re: the ultimate (road) bike training thread
So far this week I've done 2 rides totaling 66 miles, as for today I'm gonna try for my 2nd Half century(50 miles) this week. Yo mathi 250m uphill that's 820 feet of climb all I have to say is wow the only place I ride is practically flat compared to yours. Btw to everyone good luck on your training and may every ride be enjoyable

Re: the ultimate (road) bike training thread
haven't ridden much for 2 weeks, it's rainy here now, we're visited by storm after storm.
anyway, i'm working with core training, gotta improve my abs, which is also essential for riding.

what exactly are you doing for your core training? I've never made that I think.jaelee wrote:haven't ridden much for 2 weeks, it's rainy here now, we're visited by storm after storm.

Before my operation I used to do 70 push-ups and 300 sit-ups a day, but now I skip that^^.
Re: the ultimate (road) bike training thread
today I intended to buy my winter-clothing and guess what I found...my shop had some clothes left from the previous owner and he sold them for about 5-15 dollars instead of 200!!! I bought myself 3 long trousers, 2 short trousers and a wind jacket and a warm coat for all in all 200 dollars!! and yeah, the only "new" thing was the new coat which costed 120 dollars (instead of 250).
Re: the ultimate (road) bike training thread
Woot I did it 116 miles in 3 days didn't think I would make it but I did normally I would have spread out the 100 miles over 5 days or so.

Re: the ultimate (road) bike training thread
this evening was hard. I rode my little round halfways, then played table tennis there for 3 hours, then I finished my round and guess what...it rained tons of water...and I had to ride downhill at 70km/h....at night (10pm).
Well, long story, short meaning: I survived^^.
