What is your all time favorite Anime?

What’s your favorite anime? Do you have a different favorite for Manga? Ever notice that Manga’s and Anime’s rarely follow each other exclusively? Reply with some good examples. Off the top of my head I can site Nabari no Ou which really is quite different in manga versus anime format.

I guess it’s similar to the book versus movie dispute. Let me know what you think.

Favourite anime: oh damn... it's a hard toss up between haruhi and ouran... well, one of them anyway.

favourite manga: Air Gear. It beats everything else, hands down.

And yeah, you're right about how anime and manga rarely follow each other completely. I suppose the different mediums can give off completely different vibes for a series. For example, Air Gear is a great example. The anime had a slightly more... childish tone to it, where as in the manga, yes, that tone is still there, but the bold line art quite often removes that feeling.

This is going to sound a bit funny I think. I totally thought for a minute that you were talking about the character Haruhi from Ouran (the host club) lol. I believe that you are refering to the Melancholy of Haruhi.... ( full title is escaping me at the momment).

haha it's The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. That show is made of win. Pure win.

Hmmm... well yeah, Air Gear is a rather obvious example, so I ran with it. Mmm.... there's a new release coming from Kuu soon.

I'm sure your looking forward to it. I read the comment about bandwidth that must make it a more difficult process. Though as the saying goes when there is a will, there is a Fan that will find a way. :-)

My favourite anime is..... well, probably Rurouni Kenshin. It's the only one that still has an impact on me now.. XD

Fave manga... I have loads. =( Area no Kishi, Gakuen Alice......... fine I don't have loads. And Slam Dunk and ROOKIES. XD

Favorite Manga: ..... One Piece? or maybe Eyeshield 21..... or no, wait..... Meru Puri!...it's too hard to decide XP

Also... for differences in Anime/Manga: Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro! It has the BIGGEST difference I have ever seen! Crazy! If anyone has ever watched and read it then they should... no no no definitely know what I mean.....

(despite this I really like both the anime and manga... it was just a little difficult to adjust to the differences. ^.^)

Yes I have! I started reading it a while ago but I'm a chapter behind right now... heh heh I'm dying a little inside as I read it though; it's so very, very tragic *cries* It's also gotten hard to keep up when every chapter comes out a month apart.... I really need to re-read it soon

Lol! I'm many chapters behind <_< I read it when the volumes come out for sale XP and we are like 6 months behind japan. AND SOMEHOW I MISSED VOL 6 completely?! so I waited AGES for VK and then i bought vol 7 and was like '......huh???'

So yeah... xD I never got round to dlding the missing chapters << I got the general gist of what happened XD (up to end of vol 7)

I know, it comes out so unfrequently that you lose the gist of the plot >_<

I like Aidou.. XD even though i didn't understand why the heck he decided to eat dinner at yuki and zero's place for that night... XD
