Here is a tip from Hyuver:
Go to the site that lists all available fansubbers, or scanlators like www.anidb.net or www.mangaupdates.com and then find out the subber/scanlator website then go to IRC and download from the bot there.

Ultimas sent me a huge list in the old forum, but it's a long list and I am lazy to do that :p

like what hyuver said, anidb and mangaupdates leads me to everything i need. after that, i tend to bookmark the sites which supply my fixes (for as long as the series goes... unless the group is known as menclave. awesome bunch of ppl there. shame they haven't really released a lot lately).
